One of the most important and appealing aspects of taking a journey with Global Eco Journey is the interaction with the native people and appreciating their personal survival needs.
GEJ's objectives are:
- To enrich our participants’ lives by providing educational experiences in South America while demonstrating that living sustainable is not only possible, it is downright fun!! By combining old traditions with modern ways we can create a conscientious earth-honoring lifestyle.
- To be an apprentice of nature, to connect with beautiful surroundings and experience personal transformation and natural learning.
- To promote a cross-cultural bridge of understanding, appreciation, tolerance, and respect for other people’s values, spiritual traditions, social norms and ways of life.
The NATIVE CULTURAL ALLIANCE.Org
GEJ are currently working with Native Cultural Alliance Org, a nonprofit organization, to support conservation and educational programs, such as the Children’s Manatee Eco-School at Tarumã Sanctuary, along with providing financial support and educational supplies for at least four remote native schools.
Contributions in the form of funds, educational supplies, or other donations enable us to accomplish our goals. Many of GEJ’s friends feel inspired to contribute to NCA either while on their journey or upon returning home. |
